The SeaMonster Flying Fish is a reusable offshore lure designed to create a realistic fleeing-bait presentation with stable tracking, flexible wings and premium rigging.
The SeaMonster is built to last. We build our lures out of medical grade latex that is tough as nails yet soft and flexible just like a real flying fish. Each lure is hand crafted right here in Southern California, one at a time.
Built with more than 30 years of offshore experience, it is built for repeated use and can be serviced with genuine replacement wings and hooksets.
The SeaMonster Flying Fish comes in three variations -
Large - Designed to mimic SoCal size flying fish and requires a kite. (15.5" Long)
Medium - Similar to the smaller flying fish around the globe and requires a kite. (11" Long)
Medium Floating - Perfect for drifting, dropback or party boat fishing. This lure DOES NOT require a kite to fish properly. (11" Long) ***coming soon***

Rinse the lure and rigging thoroughly with fresh water after every trip. Inspect the wings, leader, hooks and connection points before each use. Replace damaged or heavily worn components before redeploying the lure. Allow all parts to dry completely before storage.

Yes. Each lure arrives fully rigged with all you need to get started. You'll just need a kite setup and a rod and reel.
The Large model is best for bigger fish and heavier winds. The Medium is best for medium tunas and smaller natural bait. The Medium Floating suits all sizes and needs no kite. Review the model guide or contact us for a recommendation.
Developed primarily for bluefin and yellowfin tuna, but its profile also appeals to marlin, dorado and other offshore predators.
We recommend 0–10 MPH for the Large bait. Action varies with sea conditions, rigging position and deployment method.
Yes. Genuine replacement wings are available and designed to fit all SeaMonster models.
Yes. Replacement hooksets are available for the Large and Medium / Medium Floating models.
The SeaMonster Flying Fish is manufactured and rigged in the USA.
SeaMonster Tackle warrants products against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear, fish damage, improper rigging, misuse and lost tackle are not covered.
